Suggested Itinerary

A sample itinerary for three days in Wrexham…

Day One - Explore Wrexham

Walk the city and visit local attractions, such as the Wrexham Lager Brewery and the Museum.

Grab a meal in a local pub in the city center.

Get your first look at the Racecourse and the Turf.

If you prefer structure, pick up a copy of the Walking Tour Guide at the Turf or register for a Football Heritage Tour from the Football Museum of Wales.

Day Two - Game Day

After breakfast, make your way to the Club Store to check out the merchandise and get a feeling for the buzz on game day.

Arrive at the Turf by noon, much later, and you’ll be standing in line outside.

The match - enter the stadium to experience the cramped quarters under the stands where you are allowed to drink.

Postgame - get to the Turf early…it fills up fast.

Day Three - Beyond Wrexham

Chose between two options to see the area outside of Wrexham:

  • Chirk Castle and Llangollen - go for a walk and explore the castle before visiting Llangollen for a look at the stops and sampling food and drinks.

  • Conwy - travel a little farther away to explore the walled seaside town with its castle and world-famous mussels.
